The board of trustess members are drawn from different background of experiences such as human rights, healthcare, academic and the law. The board is responsible for oversight of the Centre’s entire activities. The board approve programmes and finances of the Centre and make sure each unit is working in accordance to the objectives, vision and mission of the Centre.
Prof. Aliyu A. Jibia is a distinguished figure in the field of Political Science, having retired as a Professor from Bayero University, Kano. With a robust academic background, including a B.Sc and M.Sc from Bayero University, Kano, and a PhD from the University of Khartoum, Sudan, he possesses over 44 years of teaching experience.Throughout his career, Prof. Jibia has held various academic positions, showcasing his commitment to education and scholarly pursuits. Beyond academia, he has dedicated himself to serving his community and state, actively participating in numerous associations, committees, and boards focused on education, social welfare, and community development. Prof. Jibia's contributions extend beyond his local community, as evidenced by his extensive publication record. He has authored numerous conference papers, journal articles, book chapters, and published books, reflecting his deep engagement with societal issues and his impact on academia and social development.

Professor Manir Abdullahi Kamba A Certified Librarian of Nigeria and Professor of Information Science in the Department of Library and Information Sciences, Bayero University, Kano. M.A Kamba is the University Librarian, at the Federal University of Health Sciences, Katsina. Deputy Director Research, Nigerian Centre for Reading Research and Development, BUK Kano, Nigeria. Member Technical Advisory Committee of Librarians Registration Council of Nigeria. Senior Academic Research Fellow, Nigerian Centre for Reading Research and Development (NCRRD) BUK. Member Standing Committee on Research and Publications (DRIP) BUK. MA Kamba is an external examiner to more than 15 Universities at national and international levels. Assessor and Reviewer of many national and international Journals. His areas of specialization and research interest include but are not limited to Information Science Information seeking Behavior, ICT application in Libraries, Research methodology and statistical applications, Data Analytics and visualization, Indigenous and Knowledge management.
Dr. Jazuli was a seasoned banker with over 26 years’ cognate experience in both Commercial, Mortgage and Corporate Banking as well as Risk Management. He is highly experienced in Development Economics and Risk Management. Jazuli joined Equity Bank Nigeria Limited in 1996 before crossing over to Access Bank Nigeria Plc as Head of Operations in 1999. He was the pioneer Team Leader Corporate Bank Team (Kano/Kaduna) in 2002 before joining Dangote Group as Head, Risk Management in January 2003. Accordingly, he was in the service of Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria from 2006 to July 2009 as Senior Manager Risk Management. He joined Resort Savings & Loans in September 2009 as Business Development Manager. In 2012 Jazuli moved to FHA Homes Ltd as Group Head Operations & Branch Coordination. He attended many courses and trainings both locally and outside the country. Among them were “Winning with Leasing” by Amembal & Associates of USA in 2001, Financial Management (Dubai 2007), Credit Appraisal and Analysis (USA 2008) and Mortgage Finance: Challenges & Strategic Management Courses; Loan Request & Evaluation, Supervisory Management and Mortgage Finance, Information Technology and Financial Management in Dubai and Virginia (USA) Jazuli is a certified Independent Director and has undertaken several projects with international donors that include the World Bank, DFID, Slogor and Federal Ministry of Water Resources of Nigeria. He is presently the Managing Consultant of JAZLAW Consults since 2010. He is also a full member of Chartered Institute of Directors Nigeria and an Associate Member of Nigerian Institute of Management respectively.
Prof. Ahmed Iliyasu is the Dean Faculty of Education, Bayero University. As part of his academic responsibilities he held many positions in Bayero University ranging from Level Coordinator, Departmental Examinations Officer, Assistant Director Distance Education Unit of the Centre for Continuing Education, a Pioneer Head of Department of the Education (Part Time Degrees) Institute of Continuing Education, a pioneer Deputy Director Training, Centre for Gender Studies, Member of various committees of the Department and Faculty of Education He has attended many International and National Conferences, Workshops, Seminars and also served as Panelist to many educational summit. He presented the 2nd Lecture of Progressive Governors Forum in 2015 at Africa House, Kano State. Being a Senior Scholar in International Higher Education Prof. Ahmed Iliyasu has been to many countries like: United State of America, United Kingdom (England), China, Spain, Germany, France, Slovenia, India, Dubai, Doha, Holland, Kenya, Ethiopia, Niger as well as Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). He is a current Chairperson of Counselling Association of Nigeria, Kano Chapter, Member Nigerian Academy of Education and a Fellow of Institute of Corporate Executives of Nigeria.
Dr. Ibrahim Musa İdris specialized in hematology and transfusion medicine. He is a Special Grade I Consultant Hematologist in Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital (AKTH) Kano. He obtained his medical degree from Bayero University Kano, and Master’s degree in Epidemiology from Texas A&M University. He received awards and honors, including the American Soçiety of Hematology Global Resarch Award, VECD-Fogarty Global Health Fellowship, and TALENTS Fellowship. He is an alumnus of CRTI and VIRDE. His career spans years of residency program, culminating with the award of FMCPath by the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria. He is the current Head of Department of Hematology, AKTH. He also serves as the Chairman of the Anticorruption and Transparency Unit of AKTH. Dr İdris has published several articles in Q1 journals and presented scholarly scientific works at local and international meetings on clinical research to improve the knowledge and care of patients with sickle cell disease. As a hobby, he writes Op-Eds and features for newspapers and enjoys social networking. Notable for community service, he was elected the Chairman of Raayi Initiative for Human Development.
Ibrahim Musa GiginyuIbrahim Musa's career journey began in civil service with the Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria from 2004 to 2009. Following his resignation, he delved into Development Journalism, accumulating over 14 years of field reporting experience with esteemed media outlets such as FIM Magazine, Goshi Magazine, Concern Magazine, and Daily Trust Newspaper. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in the Voice and Accountability platform, serving as the deputy chairman for over three years, collaborating with media, CSOs, and the State House of Assembly under the State Accountability and Voice Initiative (SAVI). He also contributed to educational initiatives, participating in the Educational Sector Support Program In Nigeria (ESSPIN) training stages on education reporting and covering the Maternal Neonatal Child Health Week (MNCHW) in November 2011. Furthermore, Ibrahim served as a media consultant for Paths2 in its Kano office, further enriching his expertise and impact in the field.

With a Ph.D. in Health Education, M.Sc in Health Education, B.Sc in Sociology, he has served in multiple capacities in state and federal government. With Working Experience: Chief Lecturer/Provost at the School of Hygiene, Kano (1987 – 2016). Deputy Director of Public Health, Ministry of Health, Kano. Director/Provost, School of Hygiene, Kano (2007 – 2016). Senior Visiting Lecturer at Bayero University, Kano (2015 – Date). Ado Bello's outstanding contributions have been recognized through numerous awards and memberships in prestigious organizations. His extensive working experience spans teaching, administration, and leadership roles in academia and government agencies. He has actively participated in seminars, conferences, and workshops, showcasing his expertise in environmental health and education. Maikudi Abubakar Zukogi taught Communication Skills, Report Writing and Oral Presentation at the Polytechnic for five years before joining the services of Bayero University, Kano in the Department of English and Literary Studies in 2000. He is currently completing his PhD on Comparative African Oral Literature in the department. Zukogi’s academic interests are in Oral literature, Literary Criticism and theory, Postcolonial and Cultural studies, Nonfiction prose and Creative writing. These are courses he has taught over the years at the undergraduate level. In the course of twenty years, he has attended and presented papers at national and international conferences. He has published his academic essays in journals within and outside the country. Zukogi is an editorial consultant, translator and top-notch compere at events. He has participated in several training workshops for local government staff, teachers, police personnel and adhoc electoral staff. He was for some time an Examiner at the National Teachers Institute, Kaduna. He wrote and maintained a Column entitled Sawaba with Daily Independent newspaper from 2010 to 2012 and has appeared as Guest Columnist on the back and middle pages of Daily Trust newspaper
Prof. Sani Lawal Malumfashi is a distinguished Professor of Sociology at Bayero University, Kano, specializating in Environmental, Industrial, and Medical Sociology. He has an extensive academic background, including a B.Sc, M.Sc, and PhD from Bayero University, Kano. With over 30 years of teaching experience, he has held various positions within academia, including Head of Department and Provost. Beyond academia, Prof. Sani Lawal has contributed significantly to his community and state, serving in roles such as Executive Chairman of the Kano State Independent Electoral Commission and member of numerous committees, associations, and boards focused on education, social welfare, and community development. His extensive publications include conference papers, technical reports, journal articles, chapters in books, and published books, covering topics ranging from multiculturalism and electoral violence to waste management and public health issues in Nigeria. Additionally, he has conducted research projects on various societal issues, contributing significantly to academia and social development.
