The Centre is a non-governmental and nonprofit organization that was established with
the sole aim of researching and engaging in programs and activities designed to address
the menace of out-of-school children who are not enrolled in any formal school and have
become a perpetual nuisance in our streets in most cities and towns of Nigeria.
Our target beneficiaries include children in Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) Camps,
children in vulnerable conditions, and children on the streets and in the markets.
Our
team is composed of professionals from different disciplines who go into the field to
document and organize the targeted children for systematic interventions.
The Centre is collaborating with relevant government agencies, local and international
non-governmental organizations in advocacy programs and activities designed to reduce
this menace to the barest minimum.
Our mission is to research, advocate and engage in the
process of
proffering practical and
lasting solution to the menace of out of school children including the long time
practice of
alms-begging almajiri boys kept out of formal school
Our vision is to be at the forefront of entrenching a
society in
which more children are in
school than out of it across Nigeria especially northern part of the country
